Calling all Payroll Administrators! We have an exciting opportunity located in Markham, Ontario through Randstad Finance & Accounting. Randstad has partnered with a growing organization in the manufacturing industry, looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join their team.
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the full cycle of payroll processing for 150-200 hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. This position manages all payroll functions, including data entry, adjustments, reconciliations, year-end reporting (T4s, ROEs, WSIB, EHT), and audit requirements, while serving as the primary liaison with ADP. In addition, the role supports accounting functions through payroll journal entries, AR/AP processing, and government filings, while also assisting with HR-related tasks and office administration. The Payroll Administrator plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, resolving payroll inquiries, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities
• Process payroll for 130+ employees, including hourly and salaried, on a bi-weekly basis
• Perform payroll accounting related duties, including bi-weekly journal entries and reconciling payroll to bank withdrawals
• Complete a full charge of payroll related activities for the year-end, including but not limited to T4’s, T4As, ROEs, WSIB, and EHT reconciliation and remittances
• Prepare and process payroll journal entries in the accounting system and reconcile payroll-related accruals
• Assist with AR functions and AP invoice processing and maintaining an accurate filing system
• Ensure HST, WSIB, EHT and other government filings are processed accurately and on time
Qualifications
• 2-4 years' experience in Canada payroll and benefits administration
• Experience in accounts payable role is an asset
• Degree or Diploma in Payroll, Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred
