Role Description
This role involves managing payroll and benefits administration for AnewHealth.
- Monitors Workday notifications for any changes affecting payroll or Paid Time Off.
- Assists with Payroll pre-processing reports and approvals, including auditing team member payroll entries.
- Maintains appropriate internal controls over payroll functions to ensure SOX compliance.
- Manages tax notices for historical entities and researches tax issues with appropriate Tax Service.
- Supports tax audits, year-end W2 audits, worker’s compensation audits, and other payroll-related audits.
- Acts as a liaison between Payroll and Accounting, assisting with integration functions and handling inquiries.
- Audits benefits-related data for accuracy of enrollments and premium deductions; processes payroll adjustments as necessary.
- Processes monthly benefit plan invoices and ensures timely payment of associated fees.
- Facilitates requests for contribution adjustments, refunds, and other administrative changes between participants and plan administrator.
- Ensures compliance in the administration of assigned benefit plans with company policies and regulations.
- Responds to general payroll and assigned benefit inquiries made by employees.
- Maintains effective communication with employees regarding payroll and assigned benefit programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
- Professional certification preferred (i.e., CPP, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
- 5+ years of experience in employee benefits administration required.
- 4+ years of experience in payroll administration, retirement plan administration, and HRIS systems required.
- Workday and OneSource Virtual preferred.

- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, research methods, and data analysis techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive personnel issues and employee data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Highly analytical with the ability to conduct audits and perform detailed analysis of data.
- Expert-level computer skills in HR Information Systems, payroll/financial/benefit platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced technical proficiencies in report writing and Excel.
- Demonstrates initiative and accountability in assigned benefits/total rewards programs.
