Location: Whitecourt, AB (on-site, with travel required)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Wage: $22.44/hour

Job Overview:
As a Patient Watch professional with Paladin Security, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety, security, and confidentiality of patients who may present a danger to themselves or others. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
You’ll be supporting hospitals in Whitecourt and surrounding rural areas, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and ensure patient safety, reporting changes to hospital staff.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports.
• Use de-escalation techniques to handle difficult situations.
• Communicate clearly via two-way radio and computer systems.
• Stay alert and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Respect confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Work day, night, and weekend shifts as required.

• Live within 1 hour of Whitecourt, AB
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a clean criminal record
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Availability for overnight and weekend shifts

• Basic Security Training, First Aid, or CPI training
• Previous healthcare or security-related experience
• Strong customer service background
