We are a Canadian company developing a consumer product and have prepared a draft Canadian utility patent application. The draft includes a full specification, abstract, claims, and drawings outline (drawings are not yet finalized). We are looking for a registered Canadian patent agent or experienced patent attorney to: 1. Review our draft application for patentability, clarity, and compliance with CIPO requirements. 2. Provide feedback on claims (scope, strength, and structure). 3. Suggest improvements to the specification to ensure international compatibility (especially for later PCT filing). Future work: If the collaboration is successful, we would like to continue working with you for: • Filing the Canadian application with CIPO. • Preparing and filing the PCT application within 12 months. • Advising on national phase entries (US, Australia, China, etc). ⸻ Deliverables • Written review of draft Canadian application (claims, description, abstract). • Recommended edits/rewrites to strengthen claims and ensure broadest possible protection. • Guidance on CIPO formatting/compliance requirements. • (Optional but preferred) Guidance on how to optimize draft for PCT filing. ⸻ Ideal Candidate • Registered Canadian Patent Agent OR Patent Attorney with CIPO filing experience. • Familiarity with PCT applications and national phase entry (especially US). • Strong background in mechanical / consumer product patents. • Clear communication and ability to explain recommendations in plain language. ⸻ To Apply: Please include: 1.
