  • To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department, achieving maximum employee job satisfaction and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces at the hotel, ensuring high standards of quality and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Starting Rate: $38.57 per hour
  • Compensation will increase every year on September 1st. As of September 1, 2026, the rate of pay for this position will be $39.53

Job Duties Include

Reporting to the Lead Hand Painter, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following

  • Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including wood furniture staining and refinishing, while following established procedures to ensure high-quality results.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas, properly care for tools and equipment, and adhere to all health and safety policies.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete painting projects efficiently and assess surfaces to recommend appropriate paints and coatings.
  • Complete work orders for hotel and staff accommodations, maintain accurate records of tasks, and manage materials used.
  • Work in guest areas as part of the maintenance program, adapt to flexible hours, and provide professional, friendly service at all times.

  • Your Skills & Qualifications
  • Journey Person Painter certification
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
  • Valid Canadian’s Drivers licence or International equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 25 kg
