Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room (OR) team. The OR RN will provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires strong critical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Monitor patient condition and vital signs during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet patient and surgeon needs.
  • Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Support and educate patients and families regarding surgical care and recovery.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred (may be required within 6–12 months).
  • At least 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.
  • Must have passed the NCLEX.
