Hiring Unit: Office of Student Accessibility & Achievement The Office of Student Accessibility & Achievement (SAA) provides support services and reasonable accommodations to McGill students of all levels of study with documented disabilities of either a permanent, temporary, or episodic nature. They foster an accessible and inclusive university experience for McGill’s diverse student population in collaboration with other Student Services and the wider McGill community through resources and services. Position Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent may perform some or all of the listed general administration functions. These functions are of high complexity, and the incumbent performs them using general instruction. This position supports the functioning of the Office of Student Accessibility & Achievement (SAA), which may include work at the SAA Downtown Exam Centre as well as exam supervision in various locations at the downtown or Macdonald campus. Coordinates the delivery of exams within a location. Assists the invigilator in the preparation of student entry, student invigilation, distribution of examination material, and the collection of examinations. Acts as a liaison between the unit and internal or external parties to provide various assistance and/or information. Acts as a resource person to resolve various issues that may arise during planning, scheduling and events/exams. Coordinates communication between students and instructors regarding exam questions. Reports issues identified by students and invigilators to the SAA staff in a timely manner. Ensures that every task comply with all exam regulations. Responsible for completing all exam-related logs/reports (such as Shift reports, incident reports) during and by the end of each shift. Ensures the examination rooms are clean and tidy for the next session; resetting the exam room as needed. The list of functions outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks, which may be performed by an incumbent. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Office Assistant level “A” and/or “B” in addition to the above-listed functions. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Work-study preferred. Masters or Ph.D. student at McGill University. Previous experience with exam invigilation required. Detail-oriented, organized and proven ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable with computer technology. Knowledge of adaptive software is an asset. Must be able to work as part of a team and individually. Must be available for the mandatory in-person 3hr-training sessions (exact dates to be determined) Must be available for this position between August 31, 2025, and April 30, 2026. Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
