Faculty/Unit: School of Continuing Studies, Student Success & Enrollment Management Casual part-time position for up to 5 months period Job Summary: Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent will assist with activities related to student service and orientation, recruitment and activities related to institutional partnerships. The incumbent will be assigned general administrative work such as following up with current and prospective students, participation in orientation and information sessions and coordination of recruitment events. The incumbent may perform some or all the listed general administration functions. Typical Functions: Organize campus tours and other student engagement activities during the day (libraries, where to dine etc.) Be available for any emergencies the students may have. Hold by-weekly check-in meetings with students who are attending classes from abroad to ensure everything is going smoothly for them. Provide suggestions to the students on activities to do in town. Accompany students to activities, pending supervisor approval. Accompany students to their classrooms during the first week of the program and be present in their welcome session Assists with the collection of data and creation of reports Follows-up with prospective students Assists with preparation and delivery of presentations Prepares documents and collects forms Answers phones and emails and responds to general inquiries Assists manager in the coordination of recruitment events Processes payments and submits invoicing requests. For example, incumbents may be asked to perform some elements of Communications Assistant level “A” and/or “B” in addition to the above-listed functions. Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities Ability to perform under pressure and carry out simultaneous projects. Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing process improvements. Strong skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) programs. Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as resourcefulness Confidentiality. Professionalism. Relationship-building abilities. Autonomous. Reliable. Team player. Knowledge of French and English.
