About
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Nursing education. Nursing assistant/aide and patient care assistant/aide. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments. Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas. Maintain inventory of supplies. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Schedule and confirm appointments. Arrange for billing for services. Provide nursing care. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team. Take vital signs. Interview patients . Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Nursing Aide Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Immunization records.
