Role Description

Tietoevry Create is looking for a Network Engineer with a DevOps mindset to join one of our Telecom customer projects. The project focuses on building various infrastructures within a high-grade data center. Each infrastructure is configured and used to test and validate different solutions and components. The setup emphasizes automation to minimize errors and enhance reusability of configurations.

• You will be responsible for performing network operations and implementation tasks
• You will work with modern technologies and methodologies
• You will be part of a team of experienced and senior professionals, working in close collaboration and continuously sharing knowledge and expertise

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hands-on experience in telecom operations
• Practical experience with traditional networking products (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme)
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2 networking and protocols
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 3 networking and protocols
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including switching, routing, and firewalls
• Understanding of modern cloud technologies (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware)
• Familiarity with Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
• Competence in working with Linux environments
• Good communication skills and fluency in English
