Hi there. I have a very specific question that I am trying to solve. I have a 36 card grid that is arranged in a piquet (4x8 + 1x4) or a nines (4x9), and I am wondering how many possible knighted pairs there are in each grid in total. A knighted pair is a pair of cards that are connected by an L-shape pattern: 1 card then 2 cards, or 2 cards then 1 card. See examplest and attachments. Note!
