I run a growing online platform that functions as a local classifieds and business directory with category pages (real estate, services, jobs, vehicles, etc.) and city-level landing pages across the U.S. The site is already live with strong SEO foundations, but I now want to turn it into a revenue-generating business. I’m looking for an experienced consultant or freelancer who has worked on: Monetizing classifieds, directories, or local lead-gen websites Building revenue models (paid listings, featured ads, membership tiers, local lead generation, ad packages, etc.) Designing sales funnels that convert free users into paying clients Creating upsell strategies for small businesses (e.g., “get verified,” “sponsored listings,” “quote requests”) Deliverable: I need a clear, actionable plan that lays out: Suggested revenue streams (short-term and long-term). Pricing strategies with real-world examples. Marketing & sales funnel ideas to drive upgrades. Benchmarks or case studies from similar platforms if possible. This can be structured as: A strategy document with recommendations, OR A workshop/consultation call with follow-up notes. Ideal Candidate: Has helped a marketplace, directory, or classifieds site go from traffic → revenue. Understands both digital marketing and small business sales psychology. Can provide creative monetization ideas beyond just adsense. I’m open to starting with a smaller paid brainstorming project ($75) for a few hour brainstorming session and expanding into implementation if there’s a good fit.
