  • We are excited to welcome a skilled and motivated Mobile QA Automation Engineer to our growing team in Toronto! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our products through meticulous testing, identifying potential issues, and driving continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of core testing principles, including test design techniques, debugging strategies, and modern quality assurance methodologies (functional, non-functional, regression, smoke, etc.).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in mobile test automation for Android and/or iOS applications, including UI, functional, and integration testing.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated tests for REST and GraphQL APIs, including request/response validation, schema checks, and integration with test frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Appium (or similar mobile automation tools) for building stable and maintainable mobile UI automation across both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Strong practical experience with TypeScript, including writing modular, clean, and reusable automation code.
  • Proven ability to design, build, maintain, and refactor test automation frameworks, ensuring scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern Git workflows, including branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaboration best practices.

Desired Skills

  • Experience configuring and running automated tests in GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including job definitions, runners, environment variables, and pipeline optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Mocha or similar testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Playwright Test), especially in the context of backend or mobile automation.
  • Exposure to device farms (e.g., BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of mobile development tools (Xcode, Android Studio) is beneficial.
  • Annual Compensation Range: $65,000-$80,000 CAD base + benefits + equity
  • Note: The salary range listed for this position is a good faith estimate based on experience, qualifications, and internal compensation structure. The actual salary offered varies depending on the candidate's skill level and experience.
