Join our team today!Job DescriptionThis position reports to the Clinical Services Manager, Child and Adolescent Mental Health. The successful candidate will work as part of a team in managing the referrals from centralized intake to the transitional age youth (TAY) clinic and triage in a timely and responsive manner. Clinic services are designed for youth 16 to 24 years of age who, due to having a major mental illness, such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, or emerging personality disorders, are at risk of harm to self or others, and/or high risk of developing major impairments in functioning and meeting developmental milestones as they transition into adulthood. You will function as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing quality, client and family centered services.Accountabilities:Provide psycho-social assessments and individual, group and family treatment at the TAY clinicProvide education to patients, their families, work placement students and interdisciplinary members as neededParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, committees and quality improvement initiativesParticipate in program planning, development and implementationQualificationsMasters Degree in a related health field required (social work, nursing, occupational therapist, counselling/psychology) with a combination of relevant experience in mental health and addictionsMember of a regulatory college in good standingMinimum three to five years recent working in mental health and addictions is essential, preferably in an acute or community settingExtensive experience in the advocacy for and assessment and treatment of adolescents and young adults with mental health and concurrent disordersDemonstrated experience in psychosocial assessment and ability to provide appropriate interventions, including crisis interventionFamiliar with youth engagement strategies and the challenges faced by transitional aged youthDemonstrated knowledge and implementation of best practice guidelines in crisis intervention and crisis theoryDemonstrated ability in providing brief therapy and solution-focused counsellingDemonstrated commitment to providing quality customer service to various client populations (patients and families) as well as various clinical professionalsExperience in developing and conducting groupsStrong knowledge of community resources including housing, employment, income supports and educational supportsExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and writtenExperience in working within an interdisciplinary settingAbility to function both independently and as a team playerMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordDemonstrated computer skillsMay be required to travel and/or work between all Osler sitesAdditional InformationHours: Currently Days 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary
