Event Management Services, a specialized group within Procurement, is seeking a Virtual & Local Event Specialist based in Vancouver to support and drive strategic event engagement across the BC region and nationally. This hybrid position reports directly to the Manager, Event Management Services and requires extensive collaboration with a broad spectrum of PwC stakeholders, including Partners, staff, suppliers, and on-site conference teams. The Event Specialist will consult with internal and external clients to deliver high-impact virtual events, webinars, and local office meetings, ensuring seamless execution from planning through delivery. The role encompasses full-service event management, including project management, planning, and execution of both virtual and in-person engagements, while supporting ongoing event initiatives to maximize value for PwC. The ideal Meeting and Events Senior Associate thrives in a dynamic environment, demonstrating the capacity to independently manage, plan, and produce both local office events and virtual meetings. Professionalism, high energy, and disciplined organizational skills are essential, along with exceptional attention to detail. Adaptability is key, as the specialist must navigate competing priorities and shifting demands, while maintaining composure and delivering outstanding results during high-pressure or emotionally charged situations. Strong communication skills enable effective collaboration across diverse stakeholders, ensuring successful event outcomes. The role may require occasional work outside traditional business hours to support virtual and local event needs.

As a Meeting and Events Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Strategize and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event objectives, outcomes, and KPIs
  • Design and produce high-impact virtual events using platforms such as GlobalMeet and MS Townhall
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for virtual events and webinars, ensuring seamless and flawless execution
  • Apply critical thinking to optimize event logistics and enhance participant experience
  • Plan and execute local office meetings and in-person events, including budgeting and ROI tracking
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure seamless delivery of both virtual and in-person events
  • Oversee event registrations and operations using tools like Cvent or similar platforms
  • Adapt quickly to changing requirements and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Support Marketing Managers and City Vice Chairs with local office event needs
  • Contribute to national programs, including LoS conferences, Partners’ Conference, and global meetings

  • Sound judgment and creativity to navigate complex event logistics and address unforeseen challenges
  • Ability to proactively understand and meet client needs, providing immediate clarifications and strategic solutions to enhance satisfaction
  • Skill in making executive decisions with minimal guidance to ensure seamless event execution and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Expertise in creating and managing event budgets, aligning with stakeholder KPIs for event success
  • Agility in adapting to change and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with technology and quickly learn new event management software platforms

  • PwC BC Region Pay Range Information
  • The salary range* for this position is $60,600 - $100,900, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location.

Given our national recruiting approach, we recruit (and may hire) in other regions and therefore the salary range may differ depending on the work location.
