- We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Materials Handling Engineer who will join our Mechanical Resources Team. In collaboration with the greater Energy and Resources team, this role will be called upon to assume responsibility for a multitude of multidisciplinary projects primarily in the Mining sectors. Initially this position will be taking a development role in the design of materials handling projects across western Canada.
- These skills combined with excellent business acumen will be key in growing our Western Canadian team.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Participate and produce various deliverables in line with the project needs;
- Developing and producing design deliverables on a variety of industrial projects
- Work in multidisciplinary project teams, produce and sign off deliverables;
- Work with the department Lead to pursue new business opportunities with new and/or existing clients
- Assist stakeholders in proposal writing and fee estimates
- Collaboratively support business/operations through sound management of value, risk, content, communication, knowledge & resources
- Provide expertise in brownfield and sustaining projects
- Ensuring compliance to Health & Safety, as well as all other regulations & policies
- Development & implementation of budgets
- Partake to site surveys
- Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years of completing Engineering design work in the Mining sector
- P.Eng designation or eligible to become a P.Eng within Canada is an asset
- Proven organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills;
- Able to multi-task, meet deadlines, self-motivate, and adapt to change;
- Excellent Communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
- Experience with metal / mineral processing plants, piping, cooling systems, compression, mining operations, conveyance systems and / or pressure vessels is considered an asset
- The expected salary for this position is from $95,000 to $115,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
