What you'll do: Position Overview: Reporting to the Production Manager, this position reviews and clarifies Material Information documents in order to mechanically assemble or make standard modifications to doors, sub assemblies, and parts of the Tilt Table apparatus. In this function you will: Assemble and install doors, ground bus, channel sills, neutral bus and sub assemblies, uprights, channel braces, cross braces, etc. and components. Perform standard modifications to doors. Visually checking for flaws, completing the appropriate checklists and following standard procedures in work instructions or direction from senior assemblers to replace or repair defects ensuring a quality product is provided to our customers. Maintain the accuracy of the BOH inventory of stocked materials cycle counting identified stocked material, matching package labels to the actual material description and quantity, managing material transactions using the hand withdrawal process to prevent material shortages and contribute to corporate BOH inventory goals. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN system. Partner with Marketing/MI to assist in the development of standard method sheets. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: High school diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution. Knowledge/experience reading and interpreting blueprints/job drawing packages. Knowledge/experience with hand and power tools. Previous experience using a fork-lift. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates continuous learning through cross training, learning new skills, and refreshing prior skills. Reading, comprehension, and mathematical skills. Position Criteria: Frequent lifting and occasional heavy lifting/maneuvering up to 57 kgs, with assistance or using lifting device. Continuous standing, reaching. Working on ladders (installing doors). Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, act as a leader and mentor junior staff. Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others. Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Computer skills, specifically MS Office.
