Tasks: Assist in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship's engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Clean engine parts and keep engine room clean. Lubricate moving parts of engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Monitor engine, machinery and equipment indicators. Operate and maintain off-loading liquid pumps and valves. Stand watch and steer ship or self-propelled vessel under the direction of an officer. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Marine Emergency Duties Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Lifeboats. Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail.
