Job Summary
W e are seeking hands-on, mechanically inclined Manufacturing Technicians to support shaped charge production in a semi-automated manufacturing facility. This role involves operating Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), installing tooling, handling explosives (with proper training and PPE), and maintaining high productivity and safety standards.
Job Description
- Operate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to control production bays.
- Install and adjust mechanical tooling using hand tools (e.g., Allen wrenches, torque wrenches).
- Package and handle shaped charges in accordance with safety protocols.
- Interact with hydraulic presses, conveyors, and robotic systems (operation only).
- Use manufacturing documentation, including job packets, routings, BOMs, and quality travelers.
- Perform troubleshooting to identify and repair defects in product, process, or automated systems.
- Maintain production tools and ensure proper functioning of assigned equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, especially when working with hazardous materials.
S kills Required
- Experience with HMIs or touchscreen systems (e.g., POS systems or industrial interfaces).
- Strong mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hand tools.
- Background in fast-paced environments such as warehousing, manufacturing, or food service.
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electronic, or hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a structured, task-based setting.
- Must be able to follow detailed procedures consistently and safely.
- Must be eligible to obtain BATFE Level 4 clearance (handling of explosive materials required).
Education
- Highschool diploma or GED
Pay Rate
- $20 per hour and higher depending on experience
Additional Details
- Shop floor environment; clean and organized but not sterile (not a cleanroom).
- H azardous materials (powdered explosives) present; full PPE and training provided.
- Work is fast-paced and hands-on—ideal for those who thrive in an active setting.
- Technicians are assigned to specific “cells” within the facility and work in teams of 11–13 people per shift.
