About the role: The Red Hat FSI Consulting team is looking for a Managing Architect to join us in North America. The Managing Architect role blends technical thought leadership, customer excellence, and people development and management. In this role, you will develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with consultants, architects, and key customers. This role will collaborate with Service Managers, Practice Leads, and Red Hat customer(s) to promote, scope, and execute consulting opportunities within the Red Hat product landscape. They are responsible for assisting Service Managers in executing sales cycles, preparing project approach documents, and developing proposals that include business and technical requirements, appropriate solutions, and delivery times. The Managing Architect's key focus is ensuring the delivery of the Red Hat Services for their assigned customers and the People Management/mentoring of aligned Red Hat associates to help drive successful outcomes at Red Hat. This role will collaborate with multiple Red Hat teams, including product-focused BUs, other consulting teams, and sales and support teams. This is a remote position with potential travel to customer sites and can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada near an airport. What you will do: Foster internal relationships to build cross-organization partnerships (BU, Marketing, Sales). Aid the Red Hat Sales organization by ensuring successful delivery of Pre-Sales activities and consulting engagements. Proactively own and navigate escalation procedures for technical issues within projects to bring issues to closure. Build strong relationships within the Red Hat Sales organization through partnerships with Sales Executives, Area Managers, Sales Specialists, and Solution Architects. Drive operational efficiency by leveraging AI productivity tools to accelerate the creation of high-impact customer deliverables and technical collateral. Ensure complex projects involving Red Hat technologies are properly scoped, structured, and delivered. Provide thought leadership on what the Financial Services team needs to successfully sell Services and grow the business (e.g., standard solutions, training plans, sales campaigns, marketing materials). Onboard and manage new direct reports. Enable and mentor associates to excel within their roles and beyond. Support and coach employees to perform and develop in their roles. Communicate and track Red Hat core competencies to improve associates and mentees. Communicate and track career development by ensuring associates understand their current and future career opportunities within Red Hat and Red Hat Consulting. Regularly perform one-on-one meetings with employees to assist in their development. What you will bring: Experience: 10-12+ years in a related technology position (e.g., sales, consulting, operations, development), with a preference for client-facing, field experience. 5+ years of experience with Public Cloud and Linux technologies. 3+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. 3+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes. Experience with cloud native AI/ML platforms, MLOps tooling, and/or Generative AI/LLM knowledge is a major differentiator Consulting Expertise: Consulting delivery experience and a demonstrated track record of working in a strategic advisory role to senior IT and business executives. Architecture & Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the process for architecting and designing complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain Experience across one or more vertical industry areas — Financial Services is ideal. Team Leadership Previous experience with people management. Experience building out a highly functioning team of consultants is a plus. Methodology & Communication: Applied knowledge and experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. The salary range for this position is $131,420.00 - $216,870.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications. Pay Transparency Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
