About the team: To serve as the Clearing Risk Policy team’s subject matter expert on new enterprise risk initiatives, proactively identifying how they affect policies, controls and processes, and planning, executing and maintaining their effective embedment into the policy work. Clearing Risk Policy (CRP) is responsible for the following in respect of clearing and settlement risk management: • Sets the clearing and settlement risk policy framework that governs the clearing and settlement risk practices of the CCPs. • Develops risk policies, guided by ASX risk appetite, domestic and international FMI standards. • Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis to develop and inform policy decisions. • Assesses the appropriateness of new and existing traded products to maintain the integrity of products cleared by the CCPs. • Ensures good risk governance best practice through comparison of approaches with international peers. Working with the Risk Transformation team and CRP, ensure full understanding of the scope of the organisation’s enterprise risk change initiatives: Alignment of policy design, structure and drafting of standards with the updated enterprise risk management policy architecture and policy governance approach Embed risk appetite and regulatory obligations into policy requirements, and thresholds/decision-making criteria within the standards Develop and maintain the policy risk profile to ensure it aligns with the enterprise risk management framework Design and document effective controls and control testing expectations which are aligned with the enterprise risk management framework Together with CRP, proactively and comprehensively identify which initiatives require embedment in CRP’s work, analyse the nature and magnitude of each impact, and determine the corresponding changes required. Develop and maintain forward plans to embed the new risk initiatives into policy business-as-usual ensuring they are consistently applied across all frameworks and documents. Work with the CRP team to ensure full and comprehensive embedment of the initiatives above. Co-ordinate and track implementation of these changes, ensuring embedment is completed, evidenced and sustained in ongoing policy practice. Partner with Line 1 Risk to socialise relevant changes to impacted stakeholders. What you will bring: Must have Experience with risk profiling, and risk control frameworks Experience in financial risk management (market/credit/liquidity) or regulatory capital experience in a financial institution Strong analytical ability, good mathematical/statistical capabilities Knowledge of financial risk management concepts and techniques Nice to have: Experience of overseas exchange/clearing house activities Knowledge of the Australian financial markets regulatory environment Experience presenting to senior management We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
