- Job Description
- The Manger, Recruitment and Logistics for Remote Hospitality Services Central Canada, is responsible for the effective day to day management of hourly employee full cycle recruitment, delivering employee resources to the accounts within the geographical area assigned. Included in this role is to oversee the logistics and employee movements between point of dispatch and remote accommodation accounts/locations. As the Manager, Recruitment and Logistics, you would be expected to successfully lead a team of dedicated recruitment professionals, administrators, logistics coordinators, and drivers for a seamless internal experience.
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including forecasting staffing needs and aligning resources to meet demand.
- Optimize recruitment workflows to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
- Develop sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, referrals, and events.
- Build talent pipelines for critical roles and promote employer branding through campaigns and career fairs.
- Partner with District Managers and HR to align hiring strategies with operational needs.
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with labor laws and company policies.
- Generate hiring metrics and diversity reports for senior leadership.
- Audit recruitment processes for consistency, fairness, and compliance.
- Oversee onboarding of new employees.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Provide coaching, performance management, and regular feedback to the recruitment and logistics teams.
- Schedule departmental and administrative staff, ensuring coverage for movement days and operational needs. Coordinate with Operations Team to ensure smooth workforce integration.
- Maintain accurate records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Logistics & Transportation Management
- Manage the Travel Coordinator to ensure travel spend is being optimized and operational needs are being met.
- Manage staff movement logistics, including coordination with Fleet Manager and transportation vendors.
- Oversee vehicle and driver resource planning, ensuring safety and compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and labour regulations.
- Process and approve payroll for direct reports.
- Coordinate background checks, including criminal record screening, employment verification, and reference checks.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all pre-employment screenings and interviews.
- Participate in contract and company compliance reporting with community relations, safety, quality, and environmental teams.

- QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess with following education and experience
- A minimum of High School Diploma is required
- Advanced proficiency in spoken and written French is strongly preferred
- 4+ years of experience in workforce management, recruiting, or Human Resources•3+ years of experience in people leadership.
- Experience in remote workforce scheduling and forecasting is an asset.
- Knowledge of recruiting procedures and practices.
- Flexible in work schedule to meet changing deadlines, including occasional after hours “on-call” duties.

- Proven ability to exercise discretion, good judgment, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
