Job Summary: The Manager, Learning and Development Programs partners with the Director, Learning & Development to execute on the CSA Academy Strategy and Learning Center Programs. The Manager, Learning and Development Programs will consult with various business units to identify learning needs and provide solutions that meet the business demands and foster a Culture of Continuous Learning. The Manager, Learning and Development Programs will provide Learning and Development consultative services and lead the needs analysis process, provide appropriate solutions and design, develop and deliver a variety of learning initiatives, projects and development programs. The position will be responsible for the management of end-to-end learning program design, development and delivery with a focus on performance improvement. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Consults with various business units to provide performance consulting, identify performance gaps and recommend appropriate solutions. Leads learning program and solution implementation through design, development, delivery and evaluation of learning. Manages learning and development projects using appropriate project management tools and processes with a focus on quality and global consistency as appropriate. Creates and maintains instructional materials. Facilitates learning programs and workshops using a variety of modern learning technologies, techniques and formats. Uses metrics and analytics to measure learning impact. Uses corporate Learning Management System to maintain learning records, reports, evaluations and learning effectiveness measures. Coordinates learning events and provides post-learning support. Uses the coaching process to improve others learning and performance. Remains current in learning industry trends and methodologies and integrates into professional practice of adult learning. Actively contributes to the development and maintenance of culture of learning within the organization. Preferred Education & Experience Post-Secondary education in Adult Education, Instructional Design or Human Resources. 5-7 years of experience in Learning and Development, Instructional Design and/or facilitation of adult learning. Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP), Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or equivalent designation/certification would be an asset. Demonstrated continuous learning and professional knowledge. Excellent Facilitation Skills as well as superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively network and partner with stakeholders to become a trusted advisor. Knowledge of computer applications such as Captivate, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, OneNote, Power Point, Excel), Windows 10, Articulate 360 and other training media. Experience with modern learning technology including Microsoft Surface Hub and VR/AR Solutions would be an asset. Knowledge of Industry trends and current learning technologies. Proficient in the use of technology to facilitate learning. Excellent project planning and execution ability. Excellent time management skills.
