Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal principles, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Assist in the development of case strategies and provide recommendations based on research findings.
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing evidence and drafting necessary documents.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel while advocating for clients' best interests.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout the litigation process.

Requirements

• An upstanding and active member of the Law Society of Alberta.
• Litigation experience is required.
• Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for clients' needs.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Salary to commensurate with experience.
