Responsibilities
As a Licensed Electrician (Licence C) in Montreal in the event sector, you will play a pivotal role focused on the reliability and security of the building's infrastructure. Your daily routine will concentrate on preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Management of Electrical Installations: Install, repair, and maintain all the building's electrical systems, including lighting, elevators, outlets, and fire safety systems.
Advanced Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures for electrical failures, from the simplest to the most complex, and design effective and lasting repair solutions.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict application and adherence to the current Electrical Code and all industry safety standards.
Inter-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance trades to ensure the optimal performance of all installations within the event building.
Periodic Checks and Audits: Actively participate in the planning and execution of regular inspections, safety audits, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Technical Documentation: Rigorously update all technical documentation related to electrical plans, schematics, and detailed reports for each electrical maintenance intervention.
Qualifications
To excel in this Building Electrician position in Montreal and contribute to the success of the event sector, your profile must demonstrate a combination of technical expertise and personal qualities.
Solid Technical Training: Possess a Diploma of Professional Studies (DEP) in Electricity or Electromechanics, or other equivalent and recognized technical training, such as a DEC in Electrical Engineering.
Essential Certification: Hold a valid Licence C to work in electricity, whether in the construction or non-construction domain (Certificate of Competency in Electricity).
Language Skills: Have a strong command of communication, both written and oral, in French and English (bilingualism required for the event sector in Montreal).
Autonomy and Resourcefulness: Demonstrate an excellent ability to work completely independently and to find solutions quickly (be resourceful) in troubleshooting situations.
Logical Mindset and Priority Management: Exhibit sound judgment in setting priorities and possess a strong sense of urgency, while maintaining good interpersonal skills.
Availability and Schedule Flexibility: Have the capacity and flexibility to accept a rotating schedule, including day shifts, evening weeks, and availability for weekends, which is essential in the event sector.
