  • As the Legal Ops Coordinator, you'll be the backbone of our growing legal team, providing critical administrative support while managing essential operational systems that keep our department running smoothly. You'll develop valuable skills in legal operations, financial tracking, and cross-functional collaboration while building processes and structures that haven't existed before. Working independently with minimal supervision, you'll face the exciting challenge of supporting a global team while maintaining organization across multiple time zones and priorities. This role offers unique exposure to both Arc'teryx and the broader Amer Sports organization, providing insights into the legal aspects of a dynamic outdoor apparel business. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team

  • Our legal team sits within the Finance department, serving as trusted advisors who protect the company while enabling business growth across Arc'teryx globally. Though small but mighty, we work closely with colleagues throughout Arc'teryx and collaborate with Amer Sports' legal team members worldwide to provide comprehensive legal support across all business functions.

If you were in the Legal Operations Coordinator role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing

  • Managing a complex calendar with multiple stakeholders, coordinating travel arrangements, and processing expenses while serving as the first point of contact for the legal department
  • Administering our legal technology systems including matter management tools, contract signature processes, and document filing systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Processing and tracking all legal department invoices against budget, preparing monthly financial reports, and supporting the annual budget planning process
  • Coordinating with business partners and external counsel for scheduling, updates, and logistics while ensuring consistent, professional communication
  • Supporting strategic initiatives by preparing briefing materials, tracking action items from leadership meetings, and working cross-functionally across the global Amer Sports organization

  • Developing and implementing improved processes for legal operations that increase efficiency and visibility across the department
  • Creating dashboards and reporting tools to provide data-driven insights on legal spending, contract processing times, and other key metrics
  • Leading special projects such as new legal technology implementations or policy rollouts
  • Building stronger cross-functional relationships to enhance the legal team's visibility and impact throughout the organization
  • Contributing to the development of training materials and resources to help business partners better understand legal processes

  • You have a post-secondary education in business administration, legal administration, or a related field
  • You bring 2-3 years of experience in an administrative or coordinator role, preferably in a legal, finance, or professional services environment
  • You demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining attention to detail
  • You possess strong technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • You communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • You thrive working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong connections with remote team members
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration

  • A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$82,000 - CAD$102,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
