  • Location: Calgary, Alberta (In-office Mon–Wed; Remote optional Thu–Fri)
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Travel: International, up to 30%
  • Please note, this role requires you to be based in Calgary, AB, with valid authorization to work in Canada (i.e. open work permit, PR, or citizenship).

  • Are you a facilitator who inspires and energizes participants? Do you believe learning should be participatory, practical, and fun? Do you love coaching others to grow their skills and confidence?

  • At CAWST, we train and coach people around the world to improve water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). We’re seeking someone who can design and lead creative, action-oriented workshops, inspire behaviour change, and mentor others to become great facilitators.
  • What You’ll Do
  • Facilitate with impact - bring your spark to online and in-person workshops, learning exchanges, and coaching sessions that inspire real action.
  • Design participatory training using interactive methods, activities, and tools.
  • Coach partners and colleagues to become confident facilitators and trainers.
  • Adapt and tailor resources to diverse cultural and educational contexts.
  • Create and update practical capacity development resources (videos, activities, e-learning, job aids and competency frameworks).
  • Experiment with new approaches and technologies to enhance the impact and effectiveness of learning.
  • Qualifications
  • Education and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in instructional design, education, behavioural sciences, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating interactive, learner-centred training.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring ability; able to motivate individuals and groups.
  • Excellent communicator across cultures; bilingual or multilingual is a strong asset (Spanish, French, Arabic).
  • Experience in international development or humanitarian contexts (WASH experience is an asset).
  • Proficiency with online learning tools and platforms (Articulate, LMS).

  • Work Environment
  • Hybrid work environment: In-office (Monday - Wednesday) & Remote (Thursday - Friday, when possible), with flexibility for in-person meetings and events. Please note that this role may require more than three days per week in-office on a regular basis, so remote days are not guaranteed.
