Who you are: You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courage You are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standard You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills Closing Date: September 26, 2025 Who you are: You encompass Oak Valley Health’s core values and live the words of Respect, Trust, Commitment, Compassion and Courage You are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standard You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills What we are looking for: As a member of the Laboratory Services Team, you will perform various duties including: Venipuncture for Blood Collection and ECGs Specimen processing and handling Specimen Loading Instrument Maintenance What you bring to the role: Completion of a recognized laboratory assistant program MLPAO Certification is required Previous recent related experience; preferably in a hospital environment Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric patients Good knowledge of specimen collection requirements Current ECG (MUSE) experience is an asset Familiarity with computers; Meditech Expanse and Hand Held Phlebotomy experience are an asset Good communication and organizational skills Good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal well with patients and the public Ability to work in a high volume setting Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required Work Schedule: The successful candidate will be available to work 4 or 8 hour shifts, days, evenings, and nights; rotating weekdays and weekends.
