  • Job Description
  • Assisting intermediate and senior staff with engineering design on a variety of projects.
  • Completing detailed engineering drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Developing quantity estimates, working day schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tender document specifications.
  • Providing input into preparation of engineering service proposals.
  • Preparation of technical memos and reports for a variety of roadway and transportation projects.
  • Occasional field investigations and site visits.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Qualifications
  • Completion of a University degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of design experience on transportation engineering projects;
  • Actively pursuing licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is considered a strong asset;
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical specifications for tender documents;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French;
  • Strong attention to detail, with proven problem-solving and time management abilities;
  • Effective team player with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment;
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle with current registration and insurance.

Responsabilités

  • Assister le personnel intermédiaire et supérieur dans la conception technique sur une variété de projets.
  • Produire des dessins techniques détaillés à l’aide des logiciels AutoCAD et MicroStation, conformément aux normes en vigueur.
  • Élaborer des estimations de quantités, des calendriers de jours ouvrables et des estimations de coûts.
  • Participer à la préparation des spécifications des documents d’appel d’offres.
  • Contribuer à la préparation des propositions de services d’ingénierie.
  • Rédiger des notes techniques et des rapports pour divers projets de voirie et de transport.
  • Effectuer occasionnellement des enquêtes sur le terrain et des visites de sites.
  • Accomplir d’autres tâches qui pourraient être assignées ponctuellement.

Profil recherché

  • Diplôme universitaire en génie civil.
  • Au moins (4) années d’expérience en conception dans le cadre de projets en ingénierie des transports;
  • En cours d’obtention du permis d’ingénieur professionnel en Ontario.
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Excel et PowerPoint.
  • Maîtrise d’AutoCAD et/ou MicroStation (atout).
  • Expérience dans la rédaction de devis techniques pour les appels d’offres;
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite en français et en anglais
  • Grande attention aux détails, compétences en résolution de problèmes et gestion du temps.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d’une équipe.
  • Possession d’un permis de conduire valide et accès à un véhicule avec immatriculation et assurance valides.
