  • Job Description
  • We are seeking a highly motivated individual looking to start their career as a Junior IT Analyst & ServiceNow Developer on our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform. Additionally, they will be responsible for mining data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and other systems, to feed business intelligence and analytics tools supporting IT.
  • Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development (60%)

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant technologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for all custom developments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow development

Data Analytics (30%)

  • Mine data from various sources, including databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle), APIs (e.g., REST, SOAP), and other systems (e.g., CSV files, Excel spreadsheets)
  • Develop and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards using ServiceNow analytics tools or other visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data-driven solutions

Other Responsibilities (10%)

  • Participate in IT service delivery projects and initiatives as a technical expert
  • Provide training and support to end-users on custom applications and workflows
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and best practices
  • Collaborate with other teams (e.g., IT operations, security) to ensure alignment and integration of services
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience with software development and/or ServiceNow ITSM is an asset
  • Proficiency in several languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, PowerShell, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) is an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • It is a requirement that General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada be registered with the Canadian Controlled Goods program and that all of its workforce be security assessed. Successful applicants must meet all applicable security requirements, including but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
