Overview:
Reports to Admin Manager provides a range of support to the operations at UP Vertical Farms. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Administrator to join our team. This position requires administrative skills and support day-to-day administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

- Occasional pick up/drop off of parcels

- Maintain a calendar of submissions and report deadlines to ensure timely completion

- Ensure all paperwork complies with company policies and legal regulations.

- Oversee general office operations, including maintaining office supplies, equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.

- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff.

- Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate staff members.

- Maintain and organize electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of documents.

- Maintain supply inventory and storage, and make sure security system is operating well

- Input and update information in databases and spreadsheets accurately.

- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed, including preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.

- Perform office management tasks, e.g. consumables orders, repair requests, postal and kitchen supply. Carry out miscellaneous administration tasks as requested by Supervisors/ Managers.

Experience:

- 1-2 years' experience in Administration

- BC Residents only.

-Excellent communication skills, strong command of the English language

- Pleasant and efficient telephone and reception skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Excellent customer service skills

- Excellent ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Valid BC Driver’s license; use of personal vehicle for office purpose may be required

- Proficiency in utilizing databases for tracking grants and other information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
