The Network and Systems Administrator provides essential support for SEG’s national network, managing both routine operations and strategic IT initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing systems configuration, network infrastructure, and enterprise applications, and ensuring reliable access and performance across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly responsive, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.

 

This is a remote position; candidates must reside within the United States.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely response and resolution of technical issues across all locations.
  • Maintain, monitor, and support SEG's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Oversee system design, architecture, and configuration, ensuring scalability, security, and uptime.
  • Administer core platforms including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
  • Implement and manage identity and access protocols using Okta.
  • Support integration and synchronization tools such as GCDS (Google Cloud Directory Sync).
  • Maintain email security and filtering systems including Proofpoint.
  • Provide support and configuration in ServiceNow for incident tracking and service management.
  • Lead and participate in system upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document standard operating procedures and maintain accurate system records.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to improve infrastructure performance and reliability.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

 

Education & Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a systems/network administration role.
  • Advanced administration experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
  • Proven expertise with Active Directory, including GPO management and user provisioning.
  • Okta administration and integration experience for SSO and identity governance.
  • Proficiency with GCDS, Proofpoint, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and system security best practices.
  • Experience with backup systems, virtualization, and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity with project management practices is a plus.
