  • Work Location: Liberty Village, Toronto
  • Job Type & Duration: Part-time Internship, 4 Months from January to April 2026
  • Compensation: Paid Internship, $17.75/hour
  • Work Arrangement: At least three (3) days per week in office, 9AM to 5PM, up to 37.5 hours a week
  • The Partner Development department manages relationships with our Digital Streaming Platform (DSP) and retail partners including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, and key independent retailers, with the goal of driving sustainable growth for our artists and overall business. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Partner Development team on a short-term basis. As a Partner Development intern, you will assist in supporting DSP partnerships, catalog strategy, and retail activations, while learning how artist campaigns come to life across streaming platforms and storefronts.
  • The Role
  • Analyze performance data from digital and physical platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, and retailers) to identify trends, growth opportunities, and performance insights.
  • Support playlist and content strategy and ensuring alignment with brand tone, artist identity, and audience objectives.
  • Contribute to innovation and research initiatives related to independent retailers, physical product development, and digital consumption trends.
  • Assist in maintaining accuracy and product information across vendor storefronts, release schedules, and partner pitches.
  • Monitor industry developments and best practices across both the streaming and physical sectors, tracking new features, editorial opportunities, and partner updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, commercial, and operations teams to support release rollouts and partner campaigns.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or training program focused on music industry studies, sales, entertainment business, or marketing.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Tech and social-media-savvy, with a strong understanding of how digital platforms and retail channels connect fans to music.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for music and an interest in how streaming platforms shape artist discovery.
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly detail oriented and adaptable in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian music landscape, including record labels, DSP ecosystem is a strong asset.
