- Work Location: Liberty Village, Toronto
- Job Type & Duration: Part-time Internship, 4 Months from January to April 2026
- Compensation: Paid Internship, $17.75/hour
- Work Arrangement: At least three (3) days per week in office, 9AM to 5PM, up to 37.5 hours a week
- The Analytics & Insights department plays a pivotal role in driving artist and business growth through data-driven storytelling, market intelligence, and performance measurement. We are seeking a motivated and curious intern to join our Analytics & Insights team on a short-term basis. As an Analytics & Insights intern, you will support the team by contributing to research projects, campaign reporting, competitive benchmarking and helping translate numbers into narratives that shape artist strategies.
- The Role
- Assist with the collection, organization, and visualization of data related to music consumption, marketing campaigns, and audience engagement.
- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Chartmetric, Luminate, Spotify for Artists) to evaluate campaign success and surface insights.
- Monitor and analyze music industry trends, identifying patterns and correlations that could drive artist and label growth.
- Support the development of internal dashboards, reports, and presentations for cross-functional teams.
- Perform ad hoc research and administrative tasks as required by the department.
Ideal Candidate
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program focused on data analytics, business intelligence, marketing, or music industry studies.
- Strong analytical mindset and familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Social-media and DSP platform savvy, with an understanding of how digital platforms shape audience behaviour.
- Creative thinker with a genuine passion for music and curiosity about industry dynamics.
- Detail oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and proactive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Knowledge of the Canadian music landscape, including record labels, streaming trends, and independent artists, is a strong asset.
- Programming experience with Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or similar languages is highly valued.
