- Position Overview
- We are looking for a curious, passionate and hardworking individual to join out team as a Full Stack Developer.
- As a Full Stack Developer at Mikata Health, you’ll be involved in building end-to-end features that improve the experience of both Mika AI (our AI-powered medical scribe) and the Mikata Platform. You'll collaborate closely with other members of teams across our company to understand user needs and build intuitive, reliable solutions.

- Key Responsibilities
- Application Development
- Build and maintain frontend and backend systems using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Collaborate with other members of the product team (ie design, product management, data science) to implement user-friendly, accessible interfaces
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support application features.
- System Design & Architecture
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical planning.
- Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and performant across the stack.
- Write tests and documentation to support long-term development.
- Collaboration
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and regular team meetings.
- Work closely with data science to integrate AI/LLM features into the product.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
- Work to support the needs of the customer team.
- Quality & Improvement
- Monitor app performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Contribute to DevOps efforts (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure) where needed.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and recommend improvements.
- Competencies and Skills
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Languages & Frameworks: Proficient in modern JS frameworks (Javascript, React, etc.), Python, and Node.js. Experience with Serverless Framework.
- Backend: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL), REST APIs, and authentication/authorization systems.
- Frontend: Strong understanding of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and building clean, accessible UIs.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and code collaboration tools.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, RDS, API Gateway)
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working across teams and giving/receiving feedback.
- Bonus: Experience in health tech or regulated industries is a plus but not required.
