  • We are seeking a qualified electrical apprentice to fill a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate must be a team player and have technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring. The candidate must also have a great attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve potential problems.

Duties and responsibilities

  • · Electrical installation and control panel assemblies
  • · Read and interpret schematic drawings
  • · Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • · Layout of equipment while ensuring manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered to.
  • · Drilling holes and mounting equipment as per the general arrangement drawings
  • · Install conduit and cable
  • · Wire terminations of electrical equipment
  • · Confirm wiring of components as they are completed.
  • · Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediately
  • · Redline drawings as required during assembly
  • · Review finished assembly for accuracy.
  • · Occasional Site work and associated travel
  • · Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • · Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop.
  • · Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • · Other assigned duties as required

Education

  • o High school diploma or equivalent
  • o Accredited trade school or equivalent

Experience

  • o 3+ Years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent
  • o 3+ Years as a junior electrician or equivalent
