About

Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Asset languages: Vietnamese. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Select type of insulation required. Instruct apprentices. Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Supervise other workers. Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials. Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers. Estimate costs and materials. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Types of systems: Underground conduits and piping. Steam and condensate process lines. Vessels and boilers. Plumbing, cold water and drain lines. Ventilation and exhaust. Hot water system and equipment. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Area of specialization: Asbestos abatement and removal. Spraying and blowing insulation. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
