• Experienced working on various types (Liquids, Natural Gas, Renewables) and sizes (small and large) of Oil and Gas projects.
• Independently and actively represent Engineering at workshops or stakeholder reviews to brainstorm ideas for improvement or optimization of process workflows related to project execution governance.
• Facilitate training and awareness sessions for new and updated engineering governance documents to all project stakeholders, virtually and in person.
• Facilitate stakeholder review meetings, drive discussions, make decisions to accept/reject comments from stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering deliverables by various disciplines.
• Solid understanding of Engineering interfaces with Procurement, Contracts, Project Management, Quality, Construction, and Commissioning.

• Facilitate training and awareness sessions for new and updated engineering governance documents to all project stakeholders, virtually and in person.
• Facilitate stakeholder review meetings, drive discussions, make decisions to accept/reject comments from stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of Engineering deliverables by various disciplines.
• Solid understanding of Engineering interfaces with Procurement, Contracts, Project Management, Quality, Construction, and Commissioning.
• Experience with Asset Management. Assist with development and maintenance of Asset Classes and Asset types, collaborate with technical SMEs and Engineering Contractor to define attributes/taxonomy of various Asset types, and support development and sustainment of the Project Item Master library (Enterprise Material and Equipment Catalogue).
• Experienced in development of Instrumentation specifications and datasheets, Material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Experienced in specification and selection of Control systems and Network communication equipment.
• Experience in designing and Hardware acceptance testing of Control panels, Software FAT’s and commissioning support of Control Systems, an asset.
• Familiarity with Electrical equipment specification or selection, an asset.
• Assist with sustainment activities related to cloud-based project data management repository (Kahua).
• Review proposed deviations to engineering governance documents when requested.
• Review and incorporate change requests to governance documents.
• Participate in and conduct peer reviews on key engineering deliverables on active projects working alongside other offices within the Projects Technical Management Office (PTMO) and the Projects Management Office (PMO) to ensure projects meet intent of the governance standards and utilize templates effectively.
• Participate in Project Health Checks and Stage Gate reviews to ensure compliance with Engineering governance and readiness for next Stage of the project life cycle.
• Collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders, including project execution teams from various Business Units.
• Able to work independently, takes ownership of tasks in hand, and mentors peers.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with a drive for documentation.
• Required to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical staff.
• Excellent time management skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Process Control Systems, Electrical, or related)
• Minimum 10 years of Oil and Gas industry experience required.
• Experience with Renewables energy projects an asset.
• Electrical-Instrumentation-Control Systems (EIC) engineering interface experience an asset.
• Asset Management experience an asset.
• Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with other departments to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated proficiency working with office computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner; capable of multi-tasking and working under tight deadlines.
