About
We’re hiring an experienced Millwright / Industrial Mechanic for our Etobicoke production facility - a leading manufacturer of plastic bags, liners, and film products.
You’ll ensure high equipment reliability, drive preventative and corrective maintenance, and partner closely with production and leadership teams to maximize uptime and productivity.
Location - Etobicoke, ON
Shift - Rotating Continental (12 hrs Days/Nights 7-7)
Pay Rate - $43+ (Dual Tickets up to $48/hr)

Responsibilities
Respond to mechanical breakdowns and emergency maintenance calls to restore production.
Perform preventive maintenance on extrusion lines, converting equipment, winders, rollers, and support systems.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Install, align, and service rotating equipment (motors, gearboxes, blowers, take-off rolls, extruders, die systems).
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Lead or support installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new machinery.
Collaborate with operators, production leads, and maintenance supervisors to optimize performance.
Document all maintenance activities, complete work orders, and update CMMS records.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment and promote adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
433A Industrial Millwright certification (or equivalent) required
Minimum 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance — ideally in plastics, flexible packaging, or extrusion manufacturing
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment)
Ability to read and work from mechanical blueprints and schematics
Experience with high-speed, automated production lines
Basic understanding of electrical systems (motors, control wiring) is an asset
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work a rotating continental shift schedule
