About
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Group home. Tasks: Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Target audience: Persons with an intellectual disability. Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence.
