Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant for our Vertical Farm.

Duties

• Weekly seeding and harvest of all crops
• Valid class 5 drivers license, clean abstract and can safely operate a large van
• Perform routine inspections
• Conduct general maintenance tasks including cleaning and sanitizing
• Handle heavy lifting of materials. As well as going up and down rolling ladders safely.
• Maintain accurate records of seeding, transplanting and maintenance
• Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

• Willing to work markets and face to face with our customers
• Enjoys working with plants in a greenhouse like environment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and stand for long periods of time

This position is ideal for individuals within reasonable driving distance who are eager to develop their technical skills in a hands-on environment And get involved in the operations of a local vertical farm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
