The Position As part of Pharma Technical Operations (PT), Pharma Technical Technology (PTT) plays a key role in leading a seamless industrialization and thorough technical product management through integrating SHE, proactive maintenance, facility fitness, performance optimization and scalable manufacturing processes and technologies in support of the manufacturing network. Product and process robustness, efficiency and reliability are key performance indicators, PTT owns and drives towards improvement. Within PTT, Roche’s global Manufacturing Science and Technology (gMSAT) department is the process and product owner for our commercial products, including our internal and external drug substance and drug product network, implementation of new technologies, network standardization, and mitigation of technical risks. The opportunity In your role as Global Technical Transfer Leader, you are accountable for scoping, planning and executing technical transfers of small and large molecules between clinical & commercial manufacturing sites. Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of assigned transfer projects, including product launches, line extensions, commercial tech transfers, multi-node, and multi-product programs Deliver end-to-end supply chain implementation by establishing new manufacturing nodes for Drug Substance, Drug Product, Combination Products, and Secondary Packaging Develop detailed plans for successful project execution across multiple sites and functions, managing strategic and tactical inputs, scope, dependencies, risks, and opportunities. Maintain ultimate accountability for ensuring strict adherence to project milestones and the assigned project budget Proactively anticipate risks, dependencies, and events that may negatively impact project success, and lead the escalation and resolution of highly complex issues Lead cross-functional teams with a Lean and continuous improvement mindset, driving lessons learned to identify and address network-level issues Support and influence site selections for new technical transfers by providing appropriate project scoping, planning, risk evaluation, and securing necessary project resources and budget with key stakeholders Who you are We are looking for a decisive, experienced leader with a deep technical understanding and exceptional matrix leadership skills who can navigate complexity in a global environment. Bachelor's degree in science or engineering, combined with 7-10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 3-5 years in matrix leader roles with regular senior management interactions Deep understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and its regulatory environment, including Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing processes, supply chain, and current GMPs Outstanding knowledge of CMC processes (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) as well as process and clinical development Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously, with a strong execution focus to successfully deploy technical transfers from initial concept to realization Excellent matrix leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across all hierarchical levels and serve as an internal/external spokesperson Ready for the next step?
