We are currently looking for a senior-level, experienced professional with 10+ years of experience insourcing leadership, cost savings initiatives, and supplier strategy development. We need an analytical and proactive problem-solver to help us shape the future of our supply chain operations around the world!
In this high-visibility role, you will develop and implement global sourcing strategies, focusing on long-term cost savings and supply chain optimization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive YOY cost savings and value improvements within multiple product lines.
- Lead in supplier qualification, onboarding, and rationalization projects.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships; use data-driven negotiation tactics to meet quality and cost goals.
- Analyze markets and supply trends to mitigate risk and anticipate price movements.
- Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts that align with business strategy.
- Champion or contribute to VE/CE (Value Engineering/Component Engineering) initiatives to enhance product and cost performance.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs, audits, and scorecards.
- Serve as the primary contact to raft, review, approve and negotiate a variety of contracts, contract amendments and contract extensions with the support of Contract Administration and Legal
- Meet established Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for responding to customer requests, ensuring efficient processing of new agreements and supporting enterprise growth
- Participate in cross-functional teams for supplier certification and qualification.
- Support compliance with quality systems, ISO standards, and environmental policies.
- Assessing potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, regulatory issues, or geopolitical factors, and developing contingency plans and effectively communicating these risks to the business.
- Travel up to 30% to meet with domestic and international suppliers.
- Promote a collaborative and accountable culture across all international offices
- Develop raw materials cost forecasts and communicate impacts to the business partners
- Work closely with procurement, finance, logistics, sales, and demand planning to align sourcing with broader organizational objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Experience coaching and mentoring sourcing professionals
Education / Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years or more in a similar Procurement, Sourcing or Supply Chain role involving electro-mechanical products, metals, and coatings.
- Experience sourcing electronics, electronic components, and metals used in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in global sourcing, primarily in China, Inda, and United Kingdom
- A strong understanding of strategic sourcing principles and supply chain dynamics.
- Proven negotiation, analytical, and cost modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Computer Skills Necessary:
- Comfort working with data and systems such as Epicor, Tableau, SAP systems, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or related sourcing professional certification.
Physical Demands / Requirements:
- This position is largely a sedentary role.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Work Environment:
- Standard professional business office environment
- This position will require you to travel independently up to 30% of your time to International Sales Offices and supplier locations and may need to adjust work hours based on business needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
