Job Summary
We are hiring a hands-on General Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of Penticton’s most loved tourist attractions. This role oversees 80+ youth staff and two on-duty supervisors, ensuring the park operates safely, efficiently, and delivers an excellent guest experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead daily park operations and support two shift supervisors
  • Mentor, coach, and develop a large youth team
  • Ensure positive guest experiences and resolve customer concerns
  • Oversee safety practices, incident documentation, and compliance
  • Build and post staff schedules; manage staff role progression and promotions
  • Coordinate maintenance to keep attractions and facilities safe
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies
  • Handle school & group bookings, seasonal planning, and administrative tasks
  • Support marketing outreach, local partnerships

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, recreation, tourism, or team leadership
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, especially with youth
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Very high energy — enjoys being on the move and working under pressure
  • Natural leader who can be firm, fair, and supportive with teens
  • Able to work outdoors and handle hot Okanagan summers
  • Comfortable with a non-traditional workday (busy, slow, break, then busy again — not 9–5)
  • Full-time availability April 1 – September 30, plus ~5 hours/month off-season planning

Expectations

  • Reliability and accountability are critical. The park operates 110 consecutive days each season.
  • You will manage your own schedule, with long days and some daytime flexibility.
