• Job Title: General Labourer
• Job Summary
• Perform a variety of Materials / Store tasks including picking up incoming material from Receiving Dock, removing, packing, counting and sorting raw materials or finished products using manual or power equipment. May be responsible for cleaning work areas and equipment and perform other tasks as required. May be assigned to a particular production area.
• Responsibility

• Maintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department. Performance Indicators to align to Linamar’s Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
• Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
• Maintain department 5S requirements.
• Submit and implement lean and safety suggestions
• Inventory Management: Counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking inventory. This includes verifying shipping documents, packing slips, and identifying discrepancies in shipments.
• Storage and Organization: Organizing, labeling, and storing materials in designated, secure locations (e.g., racks, shelves, bins).
• Academic/Educational Requirements
• Completion of secondary school or equivalent.

• Required Skills/Experience
• Inspect incoming material, organize warehouse stock.
• Perform cycle count, deliver material to production line and fulfil internal orders.
• Ensure accurate inventory count, proper labelling and adherence to quality standard.
• Interact with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to co-ordinate work. Interact with supervisors to receive work.
• Ability to work mainly independently. Work with partners to carry out tasks which require co-operation, such as lifting heavy objects.
• Use computerized equipment, such as weigh scales or labeling machines. Use computer-controlled equipment to monitor processes, such as casting.
• Learn continuously on the job. Take training in first aid and in the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). Take part in in-house training sessions to learn about new products or processes.
