• Job Description
• CEDA is looking to hire a General Labourer to join our team at the AOC Leismer Plant facility in Conklin! Candidates must live within driving distance of Conklin.

What we offer

• $36.00 per hour,

• The schedule follows a 14x14 compressed work format with 12-hour shifts. Overtime is not applicable unless work is performed outside of the scheduled rotation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and support to the tradespeople and warehouse staff
• Assist with basic maintenance and repairs
• Maintaining safe work practices
• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done
• Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time

Role Specifications

• 2+ years of labour experience in an industrial environment required
• The following tickets are required: H2S Alive and CSO (common safety orientation) or CSTS 2020
• Confined Space - Entry & Monitor, Fall Protection & Mobile Elevated Work Platform certifications are an asset
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required

Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Prior experience working at heights with the use of special fall restraint equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Experience and comfort with confined spaces such as a small vessel/tank or trench
• Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen.
