Aurora Gemological Laboratories is a diamond and gemstone appraisal and certification company. We are looking to hire a Gemologist in Toronto to work from our gem lab using our instruments and measuring devices and also from home filling in our database.

We are seeking a candidate who is personable, friendly, and exhibits excellent customer service while identifying the characteristics of various gemstones.

Key responsibilities:

- Work from our gem lab to certify and appraise precious gemstones.

- Work from home filling out information within our database

- Create grading cards for diamonds and gemstones

- Photograph and post gemstones and fine jewelry on our website

A portion of this role will be client-facing, so excellent customer service is an asset.

Qualifications:

- A Graduate Gemologist degree, or a GIA accredited Gemologist. Must be able to grade both diamonds, jewelry and coloured stones.

- Previous experience in a customer service role.

- 3+ years of previous experience certifying and appraising gemstones and jewelry.

We are presently looking for a candidate available to work 5 days per week. The schedule is flexible.
