About

About the Project I’m building Co.Founder, a next-generation AI automation platform designed to help service-based businesses scale effortlessly. The system connects Twilio, Supabase, and OpenAI through an orchestration layer (either n8n or a custom Node.js server) to automate real-time communication — SMS, email, and voice — with context-aware memory and reasoning. Your Role I’m looking for a senior full-stack / backend architect who can lead the design and development of Co.Founder’s core infrastructure. You’ll define the architecture, guide one or two mid-level developers, and ensure the system is modular, scalable, and production-ready. This is not a UI job — it’s about building the engine that makes Co.Founder intelligent, stable, and future-proof. Key Responsibilities • Design the backend system architecture for Twilio → n8n/Node Orchestrator → Supabase → OpenAI pipeline. • Define data flow, API contracts, error handling, and event orchestration logic. • Set up and optimize Supabase (PostgreSQL) schema, including pgvector for AI memory storage. • Build or oversee development of webhook handlers for Twilio SMS/voice. • Integrate OpenAI API with context retrieval from embeddings. • Establish coding standards, modular repo structure, and version control flow. • Conduct code reviews and mentor a mid-level developer during implementation. • Prepare for future multi-tenant scaling and agentic AI capabilities (LangChain / CrewAI ready). Tech Stack • Backend: Node.js / Next.js API routes • Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL + pgvector) • AI: OpenAI GPT-4 (API integration, contextual memory) • Automation: n8n or custom Node orchestrator • Telephony: Twilio (SMS + Voice) • Deployment: Railway / Vercel / Render Deliverables • Completed backend architecture design document • Deployed, tested, and documented core message pipeline • Supabase schema + vector memory system • Implementation plan for multi-tenant scaling • Developer handoff documentation for future expansion Ideal Candidate • 5+ years backend or full-stack experience (Node.js, API systems, automation) • Deep familiarity with Twilio, OpenAI API, Supabase, and n8n • Experienced in designing AI-driven workflows and building event-driven backends • Strong leadership and documentation skills • Strategic mindset: can balance speed, cost, and scalability • Bonus: Experience with LangChain, CrewAI, or other agentic frameworks What Makes This Project Unique Co.Founder is built to empower real-world businesses — not as another chatbot, but as a living assistant that automates operations, marketing, and communication intelligently. You’ll help build the foundation of a platform that will scale to thousands of businesses and evolve into a full AI-powered operating system for service companies. Scope & Timeline • Initial MVP architecture & build: 6–8 weeks • Expected workload: 60–80 hours for system design + oversight during implementation • Ongoing consulting possible as platform scales Budget & Engagement • Hourly: $40–$60/hr depending on experience • Flexible contract — milestone-based with weekly check-ins How to Apply • Share one or two projects where you built or architected a similar automation or AI-integrated backend. • Briefly describe your preferred orchestration setup (n8n vs. Node.js custom flow) and why. • Include how you would structure multi-tenant data handling within Supabase. Final Note This role is for someone who takes pride in building intelligent systems — the kind of developer who wants to be the backbone of something meaningful. If that resonates with you, I’d love to talk.
