Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers, ensuring accuracy and integrity of shipments.
Transport raw materials, full goods, and finished products to and from storage or production areas.
Perform order picking and packing duties as required, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Engage in general labour tasks, including but not limited to, manual lifting, stacking pallets, cleaning the workspace, and assisting other team members.
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately.
Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Accurately record inventory movements and maintain proper documentation for all handled materials.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor
Qualifications
Must hold a valid, externally obtained forklift operator certification (counterbalance).
A minimum of 1 year of recent experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Ability to consistently lift heavy objects and perform manual labour tasks.
Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
Reliable transportation to the job site in Brantford is required.
A clear criminal background check may be required.
Two positive work-related references from previous supervisors.
