Aptem is seeking an experienced Events & Marketing Manager who will be responsible for the planning and delivery of Aptem’s calendar of virtual and in-person events (UK), including our all-customer annual conference. This role will also execute generalist marketing campaigns as part of the wider marketing plan.
You will work closely with the rest of the marketing team and cross-functionally across product, customer experience and sales.
- Develop and own the events strategy in collaboration with marketing and leadership teams.
- Work with marketing colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure that events are executed effectively and to the highest standard.
- Full, end-to-end responsibility for event management - including pre-event planning, team coordination, and delivery of exceptional attendee experiences.
- Shape and maintain the overall events calendar, identifying new event opportunities and evaluating event ROI.
- Develop content and liaising with speakers/presenters.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with external suppliers, venues, and partners.
- Oversee branded assets and giveaways, ensuring cost-effective procurement and availability of collateral by coordinating with our print and storage partners, as well as various print suppliers.
- Event promotion via social, email, website, and partners.
- Guest list management and communications.
- On-the-day event management.
- Post-event activities to maximise ROI.
- Proactively evaluate and recommend new event formats or partnerships to increase Aptem’s reach and engagement.
- Drive continuous improvement – identifying and implementing process optimisations, technology upgrades, and best practices across the events and marketing function.
- Support the marketing team and other stakeholders with generalist marketing activities – including but not limited to website updates, email communications, social content, asset creation (brochures, videos, case studies, and more), CRM management, sales enablement, and sector or product-based marketing campaigns.
- Take an active role in marketing planning and campaign strategy, providing insight and recommendations based on event and campaign performance data.
- Aptem-hosted product training webinars, thought leadership presentations and panels, product demonstration webinars and launches, customer roundtables and events, large in-person customer conferences.
- External conferences, exhibitions, speaking slots – we currently engage in around 10 industry-led virtual and in-person events.
Essential
- A minimum of 5 years' work experience managing B2B events - both remote and face-to-face.
- Willingness to travel to support events
- Experience using GoToWebinar, Teams or other similar webinar platforms.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and report against KPIs.
- Copywriting skills with the ability to write new content and repurpose existing content for new audiences and use cases.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Experience using social media platforms LinkedIn.
- Apprenticeship, professional qualification or Batchelor's degree in Events Management, Marketing, Business Development or a Business-related field.
- Experience using Pardot and Salesforce, or equivalent CRMs like HubSpot or Marketo, to execute and report on campaigns.
- Experience of using Canva, or other design tools.
- Experience using video editing tools.
